Responsibilities
•The purpose of the Dishwasher/Steward is to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware in order to provide cooks and food servers with appropriate equipment for guest dining experiences
•Washes dishes using established procedures; ensures dishwashing equipment is operating efficiently and ensures dish washing products are maintained at par level
•Remove dirty dishes from guest tables, using proper cleaning method
•Make sure all tables are set correctly according to Auro Hotels and Brand standards
•Properly set up server station per meal period; Keep server station clean and clear of dishes, glassware, etc
•Reports all incidents (compliments/complaints/technical issues) to Manager
•Controls operation of his/her station
•Insures proper execution of service between team members
•Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
•Help in restaurant/outlet/kitchen when extra duties are assigned
•Be familiar with equipment and its location
•Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course

Experience/ Education

•High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.


Compensation

•Starting pay for this position starts at $15 an hour.

•Pay periods last for one week and checks go out every week.

Responsibilities

  • Help the management team execute revenue growth
  • Manage, execute day-to-day operations
  • Develop, implement, and improve current menus and catering menus
  • Utilize, Improve, and develop prep manuals, station checklists, and order guides
  • Develop, maintain, improve and organize recipe programs, binders, etc.
  • Write and manage schedules
  • Manage, constantly improve, and execute all kitchen systems to include food cost and ordering
  • Employee recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training
  • Research and deliver items that are consistent with emerging food trends
  • Source products from multiple vendors, local farmers, and/or purveyors

Required qualifications

  • Flexible schedule availability that may include evening/weekend hours
  • Serve Safe certified and able to excel with kitchen organization, cleanliness, and county government health inspections.
  • Strong team player but able to excel independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to maintain high functionality under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter who’s able to initiate new projects amidst the ebb and flow of the “hustle”
  • 2 to 5 years experience as an executive chef and/or sous chef

Preferred qualifications for the ideal candidate

  • Positive and Team Driven Leadership
  • Previous Experience with multi-unit company that was chef founded and included focus on bar programs
  • Experience in large, trend-forward markets and/or exposure through travel/internships
  • 1 to 2 years experience in the Raleigh market

  • Passion in operating and developing busy, elevated environments

Physical requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 44 pound boxes
  • Ability to work in an environment where noise, temperature, and humidity levels may vary
  • Ability to safely operate sharp, hot, and/or dangerous equipmentm.

  • Maintain regular store maintenance, follow loss prevention standards, ensure timely processing of receipts, keep shelves full and products priced accordingly.
